Homelessness in London could reach its highest ever levels by Christmas, according to the body that represents councils in the capital.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan is today appealing to landowners, including London councils and the Royal Parks, to support the return of parkrun events on June 5.
He has written an open letter to everyone involved to get behind the hugely-popular 5k run events, which have been cancelled for more than a year due to social distancing rules.
There is mounting speculation that the Government and TfL will agree a £40 million funding package for strengthening works for Hammersmith Bridge, which could allow it to reopen this summer.
The Evening Standard has reported that funding for the strengthening works may be included in the Department for Transport's next round of funding for TfL, which is due to be decided by 28 May.
