Site Name: UK - London - Brentford, Baar Onyx, Durham Blackwell Street, Upper Providence, WavrePosted Date: Feb Medical Contract Manager The Contract Manager will play a critical role in support of multiple assets in the Medical Affairs (MA) portfolio. They will lead the management of external engagement activities that are essential to delivery of medical plans across all Therapeutic Areas (TAs). They will collaborate and align with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to successfully manage asset specific activities.Efficient management of Healthcare provider contracts and payments is needed for delivery of strategic goals and budget targets.   • Undertake EE contract creation and invoice tracking on behalf of Business Owner (if applicable).
  • Ensure timely execution of Health Care Payments and Contracting - identifying opportunities to reduce cycle times.
  • PO / vendor / agency spend tracking to ensure accurate asset budget tracking (place accruals, cross-charges).
  • Facilitate invoice approval with business owner and financial specialist.
  • Support PM in conducting regular reviews with BOs to discuss and track progress of activities and spend,
  • Track monthly invoice status / delivery, working with PO requisitioner to ensure payments are made on time.
  • Provide external user support for agency partners.
  • Support Medical Director with EEs contracting activities: setup EE engagement within Apollo, EEs contracting follow-up and payments tracking.
Grants and donations support and Contract Management Office (Hub) engagement
  • Critical assessment of current ways of working across all TA's in order to improve efficiency of end-to-end process.
  • Establish consistent tracking process to manage process and provide transparency to stakeholders.
  • Follow-up on agreement signature upon approval by GD&SC.
  • Follow-up on the receipt of (interim) reports.
  • Responsible for pre-filling forms / agreement drafting / LOC approval and requesting organisation signature - upload to grants and donations portal.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure all vendor administration is up to date (e.g. data accuracy of vendor details in Ariba).
  • Coordinate PO creation on behalf of Business Owners in collaboration with offshore team.
Content Management
  • Monitor content delivery progress with agencies against budget.
Why you? Basic Qualifications & Skills:We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's degree (science, pharmacy or nursing preferred).
  • Certifications in project management (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent)
  • A track record of timely delivery of complex Medical Affairs / R&D projects
  • Significant and varied experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Medical Affairs.
  • Experience working in multiple professional environments in project management with relevant certification.
  • Knowledge of Lean Sigma / business continuous improvement principles.
  • Deep understanding of and practical experience working with core Medical Affairs processes (e.g. Medical Planning, Scientific Engagement Planning, Copy Approval).
  • Analytical, logical thought process with proven track record of strong matrix management, facilitation, and project management skills.
  • Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, communication skills, strong collaborator/communicator.
  • Understanding of the lifecycle of pharmaceutical drug development and commercialisation.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and database management skills

  • Knowledge of the matrix operating environment and all the systems/processes required to drive successful performance.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
