Welcome to our feature What's on at Watermans this week? rounding up the current cinema, theatre and gallery listings on at Brentford's riverside arts centre.

The Banshees of Inisherin

Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, The Banshees Of Inisherin follows lifelong friends Pádraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson), who find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship.

A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán (Kerry Condon) and troubled young islander Dominic (Barry Keoghan), endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic's repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend's resolve and when Colm delivers a desperate ultimatum, events swiftly escalate, with shocking consequences.

Living

Living is an adaptation based on Kurosawa's classic film, Ikiru'. It is set in 1953 London, still recovering from WWII. It follows the story of an ordinary man, Williams (Bill Nighy), a veteran civil servant reduced by years of oppressive office routine, to a shadow existence when a medical diagnosis forces him to take stock – and to try and grasp fulfilment in life before it all slips away.

Triangle Of Sadness

By two-time Palme d'Or winner Ruben Östlund may be just the ticket, Triangle of Sadness is a satirical black comedy in which a cruise for the super-rich sinks, leaving survivors, including a fashion model celebrity couple, trapped on an island.

Brother and Sister

Join Watermans expert French Cinephile, Jon Davies, to explore the work of the director of the film, Arnaud Desplechin, in a discussion before the screening. of Brother and Sister.

Starring Marion Cotillard, two estranged siblings who've been avoiding each other for over 20 years are forced back together by the death of their parents.

A Diamond Celebration

A dazzling showcase marking 60 years of the Friends of the Royal Opera House is screened at Watermans Cinema.
