Karleigh Osborne felt the fans gave Brentford Women what they deserved as they won 4-2 against Watford Ladies Development at the Gtech Community.
The Bees put on a terrific show in front of over 5000 people in their first ever game at the first team stadium as they scored four goals through an own goal, Kirsty Matthews, Chloe Logie, and Eleonora Cottrell, with Watford getting their goals courtesy of Lilly Hall and a Safiya Dean penalty.
Osborne said that the fans made it a very special occasions for the team as they played at the Gtech Community Stadium for the first time in their history.
Speaking to club media, he said: "It was fantastic, the players deserve that, they deserve those plaudits because they are a great bunch of people and they are moving this club forward.
"The fans were brilliant today, they made the day for us, those girls have just made history and the fans have helped us to do that.
"I know what it is like to play for this club in front of those fans and I know how much it means and I feel the players showed that today.
"I think we took a bit of time to get used to the atmosphere and the crowd, first half I didn't feel like we were at our best but we still created plenty of chances.
"We were a little bit sloppy on the first goal, but that is understandable because it was a big occasion and there were a lot of nerves.
"My message at half-time was to believe in yourselves and go and show this crowd what you can do and prove why we are battling for promotion.
"Then I thought we were electric and played some really good football and showed what we were about.
"There were some really good individual performances, but as a team we were unbelievable."
The win sent the Bees top of L&SERWFL Division One North and Osborne was keen to keep standards high and maintain that place.
He said: "It is huge going six games unbeaten, but we have to go again and win our next one and make sure we stay focused on our task.
"For now, we will enjoy this today and when we get back to training it will be about focusing on the next game and making sure we get ready and get right.
"I think they [Watford] came and gave it a really good go, they played some good football and put us under pressure.
"But ultimately we managed to find our composure and from that moment we dominated and went and scored the goals that we deserved."
