Brentford FC has announced the re-opening of Wheatsheaf Park Stadium where the B team and under-18s will play on from 31 October.

The Bee's came to an agreement with the Thames Club, the owners of the stadium, to allow the west London club to play matches there.

Brentford also reached a consensus with Staines Town FC, who previously played at the ground from 1951 to 2022, to offer support to the local community via their Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.

The first official match at the ground, open to spectators, will be Brentford B vs RC Strasbourg Under-21s on Tuesday 31 October in a 7pm kick-off.

Tickets for the game are now on sale here

Brentford says that they have upgraded the playing surface, changing rooms and supporter facilities in recent months.

Brentford chief executive Jon Varney said: "This represents a great opportunity to have a new home and build the fanbase for our younger teams. This will also allow us to further integrate with the local community and bring affordable football to Wheatsheaf Park.

"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the Thames Club and we thank them, as well as those linked with Staines Town FC, for their support in bringing this project to life.

"We now look forward to watching our young players continue their development on the pitch in what is a brilliant facility embedded within a community which values its football, as we hope to become a real asset to the local area."

This recent development for Brentford could possibly lead to the Women's teams to play at Wheatsheaf Park in the future says the club.

Wheatsheaf Park is a cashless stadium and tickets can only be bought online.
