Accompanying her words, Ruth Cadbury shared a number of photos taken in recent days that highlight the efforts involved to make the many incredible events of the last fortnight come together so seamlessly.

Ruth Cadbury MP said: "As her family, Britain, the Commonwealth and people across the world said goodbye to Majesty Queen Elizabeth yesterday, we must thank all the many thousands of unsung heroes who made this series of incredible logistical events possible.

"Not only those in the gold braid and mourning dress who we saw on our TV screens, but the many, many thousands of police, military, media and public sector staff who prepared and protected the queue and the route, and those who worked behind the scenes to work out the logistics; many working with little sleep and through into last night.

"We thank you all."
