Two men suffer life-changing injuries after hit-and-run in Hounslow

Hounslow hit-and-run hospitalises four men in their early 20s, two of whom have suffered life-changing injuries.
Two men have suffered life-changing injuries while another two men are fighting for their lives after being hit by a car in Hounslow. All are aged in their early 20s.
Police were called to Taunton Avenue at 2:43am today (Sunday, September 25) to reports of a car having crashed into four pedestrians. The driver of the car fled the scene.
A short time after the collision, police found the car, a Nissan Qashqai, elsewhere in Hounslow.
Urgent enquiries to identify and locate its driver are ongoing, led by detectives in the Met's West Area CID.
Doctors have confirmed that of the four young men the car collided with, two remain in a life-threatening condition and two have sustained life-changing injuries.
Police cordons remain in place in and around Kingsley Road, Hounslow.
In a statement a Met Police spokesperson said the incident "is not being treated as terrorism related".
It said: "Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Hounslow during which four pedestrians were struck by a car.
"Police were called at 02:43hrs on Sunday, 25 September, to reports of a car in collision with four pedestrians in Taunton Avenue, Hounslow.
"The four men, aged in their early 20s, were taken to hospital. Two remain in a life-threatening condition; the other two sustained injuries which have been assessed as life-changing.
"The driver of the car did not stop at the scene. The car, a Nissan Qashqai, was found by police in Hounslow a short time later. Urgent enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the driver.
"No arrests have been made at this time. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing, led by detectives from the Met's West Area CID.
"Police cordons are in place in and around Kingsley Road, Hounslow.
"Anyone with information or any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote 921/25Sep22.
"Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
"The incidents is not being treated as terrorism related."
