The clock at the Clockhouse in Syon Park was manually put forward at the weekend as British summertime officially begins.

It all marks changing times at the park too, as final preparations are made for the opening of a new garden centre, farm shop and two new eateries.

Hillier Nurseries have taken over the site and are currently working on getting the shop and grounds ready for an imminent opening.

The company has always earmarked this Spring for the grand opening so a definite date is expected within days.

With the easing of some Covid lockdown restrictions road-mapped for April, this is likely to be the month the centre opens its doors.

Local people have voiced excitement over the new venue with many taking to social media saying they can't wait.

The two new eateries have been named as The Clockworktower Café and The Courtyard Restaurant.
