Internet and Wi-Fi connections went down on Monday

Households across Brentford were left without vital access to wi-fi and the internet on Monday.

An outage on the Hyperoptic network brought down connections at around 10.30am.

It meant frustration for many people working from home due to the pandemic.

Hyperoptic confirmed that an "outage" had occurred in the area and vowed to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Connection was re-established about three hours later just after 1.30pm

Local resident Bill Garrido said: "I was in the middle of an important Zoom call with my boss when suddenly the connection was lost. He probably thinks I cut him off! It was so frustrating."
