Residents and colleagues at Ashgrove Care Home in Hounslow, run by HC-One, were delighted to welcome Seema Malhotra, MP for Feltham and Heston and Shadow Minister (Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy), to participate in Care Home Open Week 2023.

Ms Malhotra was shown around Ashgrove Care Home by HC-One's Chief Executive Officer, James Tugendhat, Home Manager Beckie Condie, and Area Director Judith Knight. She also had the opportunity to speak to Residents and Colleagues at Ashgrove and find out more about the home's latest activities.

The team at Ashgrove were also pleased to invite the wider Hounslow community to learn more about life in the care home with its 'Celebrating Together' theme for 2023's Care Home Open Week.

Throughout the week, Residents, Colleagues, families and friends enjoyed a variety of fun-filled activities including lively entertainment, singing and dancing.

Visitors also enjoyed a tour of Ashgrove Care Home to see its facilities, activities and care services, and heard from the care team about the rewarding career opportunities available in the care sector.

Running from 26th June to 2nd July, Care Home Open Week is a national event hosted by Championing Social Care that is designed to connect care homes with their local communities.

Beckie Condie, Home Manager at Ashgrove Care Home, said:

"We are proud to support Hounslow. Our Open Week celebrations provided a great opportunity to continue to enhance our connection with our local community, to support community engagement, and to remind our local community that our kind care teams are here if they ever need support for themselves or a loved one."

"We were delighted to be able to bring everyone together to celebrate Care Home Open Week 2023 again this year at Ashgrove Care Home and other HC-One care homes across the UK."
