An announcement is set to be made by organisers of Parkrun on the resumption of the weekly 5km runs including those at Gunnersbury and Osterley Park.

The restart of the Parkrun events has been delayed due to issues with landholding permissions.

Three million people are registered to take part in the runs across England and 300,000 turn up each week to the events across the country.

It is hoped they can resume later this month.

More than 600 people were taking part in the Gunnersbury Park run before the pandemic.

Parkrun said in a statement: "We have been working hard with our various stakeholders to improve the percentage of landowner permission to great success, and we remain positive for the new restart date of Saturday 26 June, a decision on which will be made on Friday 11 June."
