Watermans has announced an autumn season of theatre, dance and comedy events aimed at children as young as 6 months and their families and includes companies from Sweden, Greece and the Netherlands.

On Sunday 8 October, Watermans begins its season of international theatre and dance with the return of the company from Breda in the Netherlands, de Stilte and their new show, Wait a Minute, a physical performance that grows from an assembly kit.

Wait a Minute is suitable for children between 6 months and 5 years old.

On Sunday 14 October, Kevin Spencer, from the USA brings his show, The Magic of Kevin Spencer .

As well as being an illusionists touring the USA, Kevin is also an international authority on the academic and therapeutic benefits of simple magic tricks in educational and clinical settings.

In time for half-term at the end of October between 25 and 29 October, three performances will play in the theatre and studio spaces.

Snug is an installation by Lewes-based Slot Machine Theatre where they have created an immersive, multi-sensory experience for 0's-6's and their families, with live performance and an accompanying book.

This immersive show invites audiences to enter a space where real trees, undulating hills, far reaching vistas, and soundtrack transport you to a magical forest, surrounded by the inviting textures and smells of a natural woodland.

Four times a day there is a 15-minute performance which tells the story of a hedgehog.

In SNÖ, a reindeer calf gets away from its herd. Afraid and lost, it meets some of the other animals that live in this mountain world; the fast hares and rhythmic lemmings are enhanced with sound effects and music as they meet the reindeer calf on its journey... Through dance and puppetry, the Sami mountain world is brought to life in a poetic performance about animals and nature, inspired by the landscape in the very north of Sweden.

As part of Dance Umbrella 2023 and presented by Little Big Dance, Greek director and choreographer Xenia Aidonopoulou brings her new show Skydiver to Watermans on Sunday 29 October.

Skydiver is a multi-sensory dance experience for children 3 - 5 years and their families.

Prepare to soar through the fluffy clouds where flocks of birds and butterflies flutter. Explore the dream-like world that waits above us, in this multi-sensory dance experience for families.

Head of Children and Families programming, Hakan Silahsizoglu adds: "Watermans aims to introduce children to the very best theatre, dance and performance and our mission is to create a life-long passion for arts and culture.

"Many of the companies Watermans works with happen to be from outside the UK and are leading the way in terms of they way they use performance and storytelling to entertain and inspire, enriching our culture."
