Make some noise, Brentford! Thursday clap for key workers is back

The Thursday clap for NHS and key workers returns tonight.

On the strike of 8pm on Thursdays in the first lockdown, residents stepped outside their homes with pots, pans and anything they could make a racket with in a show of appreciation for health workers.

Now the weekly clap is returning - but everyone who plays a part in getting us through the pandemic is being applauded.

"We are bringing back the 8pm applause, in our 3rd lockdown I hope it can lift the spirit, of all of us," said the original Clap for Carers creator Annemarie Plas.

"Carers teacher, homeschooling parents, those who shield and ALL who is pushing through this difficult time! Please join & share!"

The first one takes place tonight (Thursday, January 7) at 8pm.
