Equipment, including a digger, moved onto the site earlier this week.

By Thursday, a huge area of the grounds had been excavated.

A team of archaeologists is understood to be working on the site.

The work comes before an exhumation of graves operation.

The 15th century church is to be redeveloped by Ballymore, to include a swimming pool and leisure facilities.

A block of flats is to be built next to the burial ground.

The project was given planning permission by Hounslow Council earlier this year.
