Work is progressing on the grounds of St Lawrence's Church with boarding erected around the site.

Ground has been flattened and clearance workers have moved onto the site.

A large skip is also visible full of branches and rubble.

Brentford High Street developers Ballymore were earlier this year given the go-ahead for the church to be be used for a various retail and business purposes, such as for a restaurant, pub or even a nursery.

And the site, which has not been used since the 1960s, will include a three-floor gym with a spa treatment room, hot and cold plunge pools and an outdoor swimming pool.

A seven-storey building also planned for 'Plot A' of The Brentford Project, will create 18 two-bedroom homes.

The developers have also given notice that they plan to remove human remains from the church grounds.

They have revealed that the remains will be taken to a cemetery in Woking where they will be "reinterred".

The notice says: "Human remains post-dating 1920 are proposed to be reinterred at Brookwood Cemetery in Woking."

The work is being carried out by Orion Heritage and the removal will be overseen by Hounslow Council's Chief Environmental Officer.
