The ideal candidate will be a motivated, professional individual with personality and passion.

You will be required to work night shifts, but as the hotel industry is a 24/7 service, these shifts are subject to change and also include duties on weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be a crucial part of the guests' journey.

As a Night Porter, you must be self-motivated and be personable in the way you deal with people.

The role requires excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Keeping the outside and public areas of the hotel clean and tidy.

• Preparing for the following day's event.

• Responsible for setting up conference rooms to the required specifications.

• Ensuring communication procedures are effective and efficient on a day-to-day basis, with key operating functions to ensure customer service standards are maintained.

• Developing interactive customer relations and to be aware of any possible future requirements.

• Displaying a 'can-do' attitude at all times.

• Maintaining a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department.

The ideal candidate is an individual who cares about providing excellent service to the guests and who can use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wondrous experience for everyone.

It is a fantastic opportunity for an amicable professional who likes to be helpful.

You will be able to maintain a positive and calm outlook regardless of what challenges the shift might bring and able to make the right decision.

Experience within a similar environment is preferable; however, Holiday Inn are looking for an individual with the right attitude rather than experience and will give you the tools to ensure you will be successful in your role.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a wage of £8.91p/h.

Deadline for applications is August 30; to apply, click HERE.
