Residents of Brentford, Isleworth and Osterley are being welcomed back to the first live Area Forum since before the pandemic.

Returning this Thursday for the first time since February 2020, the Forum is as an opportunity for members of the public to participate in local matters once more.

Topics for discussion will include policing, public transport, water and flood management and community organisation Brentford Voice's ambitions for the town and neighbouring areas.

There will also be the opportunity for Q&As during the session, where residents can put their questions directly to their councillors.

Police Sergeant Jim Cope, Hounslow Council Transport Officer Robert Heslop, and Martin Case and Jim Storrar from the Brentford Voice organisation will be presenting to the panel, as well as councillors from Osterley and Spring Grove, Isleworth, Syon and Brentford Wards.

For residents who cannot make Area Forums in person, the meeting will be accessible on the Council's YouTube channel after the event has ended.

Brentford Free Church on Boston Manor Road will host the event from 7pm, with a number of seats being made available for members of the public to reserve online.

Councillor Tony Louki, Chair of the Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum, said: "On behalf of the Vice Chair, Councillor Mel Collins, and all Councillors of the Isleworth and Brentford Area Forum I am pleased to invite our residents back to IBAF for the remainder of the municipal year.

It has been a long time since Councillor Salman Shaheen last presided over one of these and, back in the Chair since relinquishing the Mayoralty in May 2021, I am looking forward to meeting residents and others with interests in our two towns to share and hear about the local issues that most affect their lives.†

If residents would like to attend this forum or submit questions, they should contact the Committee Officer by emailing before 4pm on Wednesday 20 October 2021: [email protected].
