Brentford: Covid-19 cases increase by 16% in Hounslow Borough

There are over 170 more infections of Covid-19 than a week ago within the borough.
According to the latest statistics (October 12 - October 18), there are currently 1,243 people with the virus within Hounslow Borough - 173 more than the week leading up to October 11.
This means there has been an increase of 16.2 per cent, with 436.8 cases per 100,000 people as per the Gov.uk website.
This is a higher infection rate than both England and the United Kingdom, which is 424 and 423 out of 100,000 people.
The London rate is currently 237.1 with the daily number of new people who tested positive for COVID-19 reported at 3,806 as of yesterday, 18 October.
Hounslow Heath has recorded the highest cases in the borough, at 87, with 883.5 cases per 100,000, as recorded in the most recent data over the seven days to 13 October.
Brentford experienced a lower record of total cases, compared to central Hounslow and Isleworth, however virus rates have still increased.
Brentford Central saw a case rate increase of 25% on the previous week, with 40 cases reported.
Brentford West & Osterley Park had less cases, 24, but a larger leap up from the previous week, rising by 33.3%.
