Hounslow police officers awarded for bravery in West London Commendation Ceremony
A number of local police officers were presented with awards at the West Area Commander's Commendation Ceremony earlier this month.
The annual event awards officers for acts of bravery, life-saving work and exceptional dedication to protecting the community, which in weeks subsequent to the ceremony Hounslow Police have shared the stories of on social media.
PS Limebear was awarded the first commendation from West Area BCU Commander Sean Wilson.
Whilst off duty travelling with his family on the A303, PS Limebear stopped near a multi-vehicle road traffic collision in which the driver of a lorry had suffered a heart attack.
The Sergeant took charge of the scene and administered CPR, later providing a comprehensive report to local officers.
PC Macwilliam received the next commendation for taking responsibility of, and showing persistence and dedication towards an operation, above and beyond expectations whilst investigating an offence of importation of MDMA.
Working on his rest days, PC MacWilliam "extended tours of duty to see the job through", securing evidence to conduct a warrant on an address which lead to the arrest and charge of a man who imported £30,000 in drugs.
DC Meadows and PC Wilcox were awarded for showing tenacity and determination in the investigation of a complex rape offence and for offering exceptional victim care and support.
