Hounslow Council Digital Dock have launched the Brentford Art Mosaic Project to celebrate all things Brentford through art.

On Saturday 4th February, Hounslow Council Digital Dock invited local businesses and residents to help participate in creating a mosaic that represents the culture and traditions on the area.

The mosaic will focus largely on major parts of Brentford culture and history, like: Syon House, King George VIII, Pocahontas, Shakespeare, and much more.

Local artist Susie John is leading the project and said: "I'm so excited to be a part of this project that celebrates the creativity of local Brentford people."

Over 45 people attended the event last Saturday, with an age range spanning from seven and a half months to over 80.

Local schools will also be involved in the project and contributing to the creation of the mosaic, which is encouraging people in the local area to work together and build a stronger community.

Helen Roberts, founder of CPG Executive Consulting & partner for this project said: "In every programme we run, we focus on building a strong, engaged community, bringing businesses and residents together to help and support each other.

"For this project, we are shining a light on all things great about Brentford, and championing it, being proud to live and be part of this amazing community."
