Referrals to Hounslow Foodbox have increased by more than 300% during the pandemic and new premises have been opened in Brentford to cope with demand.

In 2020 there were as many referrals in one week as there were in an average month in 2019.

Additional premises have been acquired at the Rose Community Centre, in Brentford which provides a larger space to provide greater support to the community whilst ensuring the safety and welfare of volunteers and the people who need help.

FoodBox volunteers deliver food parcels to those unable to collect them due to health and mobility issues.

People who are able to collect their food parcel in person should go to the Rose Community Centre, Hawthorn Road, Brentford, TW8 8NT.

By the end of November 2020 the team had supported more than 5,000 adults and children with 100,000 meals.
