Romeo Beckham scored at the death to send Brentford B into the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup semi-finals with a 3-2 win against Wealdstone.

Brentford raced into an early lead as Tristan Crama and Frank Onyeka both netted, before Tarrelle Whittaker pulled one back in first half stoppage time.

Olufela Olomola then levelled the scores early in the second period, but Beckham managed to find a winner as penalties loomed large.

This win sends Brentford B into the semi-finals of the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup to face one of Hayes and Yeading United, Enfield Town, Harrow Borough, or North Greenford United.

The young Bees started quickly, putting their National League opponents under pressure and found the early breakthrough after ten minutes when Crama found himself in space on the edge of the area, took a touch and then blasted the ball beyond Dante-Astor Baptiste.

Shortly after Conor McManus lifted a ball in from the left and found Lucas Vine, and his effort was well charged down by a Wealdstone defender.

The second followed shorty as after 22 minutes Frank Onyeka, who started the game as his recovery from injury steps up, and Roy Syla combined on the edge of the area and scrambled the ball forwards, where the Nigerian international got there before the 'keeper to prod it into the net.

Brentford could have been out of sight before the break as Kyreece Lisbie read a pass out from the back to win possession and drove forwards, slid a ball into Onyeka, who tried to deceive the 'keeper with a feint, but Baptiste read it and gathered.

Wealdstone were a whisker away from getting back into the game late in the half as Giovanni McGregor slammed a free-kick against the crossbar.

The hosts then found the back of the net in stoppage time as Whittaker tried his luck from range and caught his shot perfectly to fly into the top corner, giving Ben Winterbottom no chance.

All of a sudden, the Stones were back on terms as eight minutes into the second half when Olomola worked a yard of space in the penalty box and cooly slotted into the bottom corner.

Wealdstone's revival continued as they nearly took the lead as Olomola darted down the side and hit a powerful shot goalwards, but Winterbottom did well to hold onto the shot.

Then as time was running out for Brentford and both teams seemed to be settling for a penalty shoot-out, McManus ran down the left and delivered a cross into the middle, and much like his father, Beckham was there in the big moment to finish smartly and send the Bees into the semi-finals.
