Brentford Women have missed out on the L&SEWFL Division One North title following a final day 3-2 defeat against Watford Development.
The Bees were leading at the break courtesy of goals from Nikki Woods and Chloe Logie after Rebecca Lovelace gave the hosts an early lead.
However, a late double salvo from Lola Meyer and Natalie Cloy saw Brentford's season end with a defeat.
It would not have made a difference to the title race had Brentford not succumbed to a late collapse as Dorking Wanderers Ladies got a 3-0 win over Dulwich Hamlet Women's Reserves to secure top spot.
Woods could have given the Bees the perfect start to the game as she spotted the Watford goalkeeper off her line and looked to clip the ball over her, but it landed on the roof of the net.
Lovelace then made Brentford's slim title chances even slimmer as she burst through on goal and rounded Emily Boycott before slotting into the back of the net.
Logie looked to respond after 21 minutes as she came just inside the box and looked to fire goalwards, but her powerful strike rippled the side netting.
Shortly after the half hour mark Logie was brought down 25 yards out, Woods whipped the free kick into the middle and caught out Tia Green in the Watford net as the ball looped over her and into the net.
It was Groundhog Day for every match of the season late in the first half when Chloe Webb rolled Logie in behind the Watford back line and Logie ran beyond and slotted the ball beyond Green to give Brentford the lead and heaped some pressure on Dorking.
After the break, the Bees looked to hold onto their lead during the second half and slowed the tempo down with not many chances being created at either end.
Lovelace came closest around the hour mark when she got the better of Afiya Johnson down the left and thought she had spotted Boycott off her line but got her effort wrong and it went into the side netting.
With 13 minutes remaining Meyer robbed Lily Dalton in possession before tucking the ball into the back of the net to restore parity.
Watford then put any chance of Brentford winning the title to bed as Cloy's strike from way out took a mean deflection to take it beyond Boycott and complete the five-minute turnaround.
