The Bees' explosive performance in the second half, marked by goals from Maupay, Mee, and Baptise, proves too much for Luton's resilience as Brentford clinches a well-deserved win.

Luton's Brown momentarily narrows the gap, but Brentford's dominance prevails in an action-packed encounter which now puts the Bees 10th in Premier League table.

First Half:

The first half of the match between Brentford and Luton Town was characterised by a gritty battle in the middle of the park. Luton applied high pressure, making it challenging for Brentford to break out of their half.

The Hatters aimed to catch Brentford on the counter, enjoying periods of possession when it came.

Brentford, however, managed to create a dangerous opportunity in the 10th minute when Onyeka's cross found Bryan Mbuemo, but Luton's defence dealt with the threat. The game was scrappy, with Brentford committing five fouls as they defended tightly and looked to capitalise on the break.

Luton's backline effectively closed down space, thwarting attempts by Mbuemo and Yoane Wissa. Despite Brentford breaking lines, Luton's pace allowed them to recover swiftly.

Ross Barkley looked composed for Luton, and Ghoddos excelled in defending against Ogbene, despite not playing in his most favoured position, during the first half.

In the 26th minute, Brentford's first shot from Yarmoliuk went wide, and the pressure continued to mount with several chances. Kaminski received a yellow card for time-wasting in the 38th minute, reflecting Brentford's dominance with seven attempts compared to Luton's zero.

As the first half concluded, the score remained 0-0. Brentford struggled to break down Luton's compact defence, managing only two shots on target out of 11 attempts.

Despite enjoying 77% possession, Luton failed to register a shot in the first half, but looked very much in the game.

Second Half:

The second half witnessed an explosive start for Brentford. In the 49th minute, Neal Maupay capitalised on a loose ball in the box, giving the Bees a 1-0 lead. The momentum continued, and Ben Mee doubled the lead with a header in the 57th minute which took a deflection off Carlton Morris.

Luton responded with three substitutions in the 60th minute, attempting to shift the tide. Brentford, now leading 2-0, displayed more comfortable ball movement, with Norgaard's excellent passing nearly setting up a chance for Ghoddos in the 68th minute.

Yehor Yarmoliuk was substituted in the 70th minute, having had a positive impact on Brentford's attack. Luton had a half-chance in the 70th minute, but Vitaly Janelt dealt with the threat.

Wissa had an opportunity in the 71st minute, but Tendi Mengi's recovery tackle denied him.

Luton pulled one back in the 75th minute with a goal from Brown, making it 2-1. However, Brentford sealed the victory with Shandon Baptise scoring in the 81st minute, making it 3-1 with his strike in the box.

An offside goal from Chong in the 89th minute gave Luton a glimmer of hope, but the final score remained 3-1.

Full-time:

Brentford's fantastic second half performance secured a convincing victory over Luton Town. Maupay and Mee's quick goals set the tone, and despite Luton's efforts to claw back into the game with Brown's goal, Baptise's strike off the bench sealed the win for Brentford.

Looking ahead, Brentford will face Brighton in a midweek clash on Wednesday, 6 December, at 7:30 pm, while Luton Town will host league leaders Arsenal on Tuesday, 5 December, at 8:15 pm.
