Watermans is West London's arts centre and is open Wednesday to Sunday. See great films, live shows and exhibitions and discuss it all at the Guru, its unique bar and restaurant serving the best in drink, snacks and Indian dishes. In the cinema, take advantage of Wild Wednesdays – all cinema tickets £7 – all day on Wednesdays.

The future for the last remaining pub, The Old Oak in a village in the Northeast England, where people are leaving the land as the mines are closed. the pub becomes contested territory after the arrival of Syrian refugees who are placed in the village without any notice. In an unlikely friendship TJ meets a curious young Syrian Yara [Ebla Mari]. Can they find a way for the two communities to understand each other?

Ballygar, Dublin, Ireland, 1968: close friends Lily (Maggie Smith), Eileen (Kathy Bates), and Dolly (Agnes O'Casey) win the trip of a lifetime - a pilgrimage to Lourdes. With each woman desperately in need of a personal miracle, the trip seems like an answer to all their prayers. But when they are joined by Chrissie (Laura Linney), returning to Dublin after decades in America, deep wounds from the past are re-opened and bitter truths exposed.

Winner of 'Best Feature' at the International New York Film Festival 2022, Shantaye's World tells the story of a bold, black, beautiful and intelligent girl on the cusp of womanhood in post-colonial, rural St. Lucia. Still coming to terms with the death of her mother during her birth and cared for by her father, everything changes when he remarries and she has to deal with a jealous stepmother. Then Shantaye falls in love and her life changes forever. 

Exhibition on Screen: Klimt and the Kiss (12A) - Thu 2 Nov, 5.30pm 

The Kiss by Gustav Klimt is one of the most recognised and reproduced paintings in the world. It is perhaps the most popular poster on student dorm walls from Beijing to Boston. Painted in Vienna around 1908, the evocative image of an unknown embracing couple has captivated viewers with its mystery, sensuality and dazzling materials ever since it was created. But just what lies behind the appeal of the painting – and just who was the artist that created it?

A Mystery on the Cattle Hill Express (PG) - Fri 27 Oct, 2pm.

Farmyard hero, Klara the cow, joined by friends old and new, sets off on her latest epic adventure in which she must solve a runaway mystery to save her home, teaming up with world-famous detective, Agatha Chichester, to solve the crime and save Cattle Hill.

Children's Half-Term Theatre: 

Snug (0 – 4 years) - Fri 27 – Sat 28 Oct, 1.45pm, 2.45pm, 3.45pm, 4.45pm 

A magical winter storyworld for young imaginations and very brave hedgehogs. It's winter and Hog is really cold. They need somewhere cosy to snuggle up - but where?  

Snö / Snow (4+ years) - Fri 27 October, 1.30pm 

Through dance and puppetry, the Sami mountain world is brought to life in a poetic performance about animals and nature, inspired by the landscape in the very north of Sweden. 

Skydiver (3 – 5 years) - Xenia Aidonopoulou - Little Big Dance - Sun 29 Oct, 1pm & 3pm 

A magical multi-sensory dance experience for children 3 - 5 years and their families. Prepare to soar through the fluffy clouds where flocks of birds and butterflies flutter. Explore the dream-like world that waits above us, in this multi-sensory dance experience for families. Part of Dance Umbrella 2023.
