THE annual Open House London Festival, taking place across London, offers access to venues usually closed to the public.

Brentford is hosting over ten destinations to explore across the week, with events taking place from 4 – 12 September.

Brentford's rich cultural offering is clear from the number of venues participating in the festival.

Highlights include the Grade II listed 18th Century house, St Mary's Convent, which is giving guided tours and an exhibition this Saturday (4 September).

There will be an open art studio at The Old Stables over the weekend, a unique chance to visit the dock-side building originally built as horse stables for a local brewery.

Johnson's Island will be open offering visitors a chance to peek inside this thriving artist's community in the heart of Brentford.

The Watermans Art Centre will also be open and feature open studios throughout the coming week.

The Brook Pub on New Road will host a collage art exhibition including a talk and Q&A about collage, as well as a charity art raffle.
