The Met Office has issued a weather warning for the Brentford area with a forecast for snow flurries and ice.

A Yellow warning has been given for between 10am on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday.

Temperatures over the next few days will reach only as high as 4C and the mercury will plummet to below freezing at nights.

Sleet and snow is a possibility for Wednesday going into Thursday, forecasters say.

It will remain cold on New Year's Eve and into New Year's Day with further chances of sleet and snow.

The Met says it will remain cold over the weekend.
