Watermans have been gifted a defibrillator by Pump Technology Ltd as part of their partnership with London Irish Foundation to help save lives.

A state-of-the-art defibrillator has been donated to the cinema to help ensure that anyone experiencing life threatening heart trauma will have a greater chance of survival in the area.

This is part of a longer term project from Pump Technology Ltd and London Irish Foundation to give defibrillators to local venues as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.

Jan Lennox, Director of Watermans, commented: "Watermans is thrilled to have a potentially life-saving defibrillator installed in our venue and though I hope we never have to use it, but it is reassuring to know it is there and that our customer relations team will have training too."

Training will be given to staff of Watermans by the London Ambulance Service on how to use the defibrillator so that they have experience.

Andy Keast, Chief Executive of the London Irish Foundation, said: "London Irish Foundation are delighted to assist Pump Technology Ltd to help provide local community venues with this essential equipment and make a difference to anyone who needs treatment quickly."

Jonathan Barker, Managing Director of Pump Technology added: "We're pleased to be working with London Irish Foundation potentially helping anyone visiting Waterman's who might need this life-saving equipment."
