Watch out for Royal Mail email - it's a scam, say police

Hounslow Police have warned people to be aware of a an email scam that has been reported to them more than 1,700 times.

A fake email claiming to be from the Royal Mail has been hitting inboxes.

The email claims it has a parcel that it tried to deliver. It then provides a link which when opened asks for personal details, including debit card number.

Police say this is a scam and you should never provide these details when asked in an email.

Suspicious emails should be forwarded to [email protected]
