Ealing's Pitzhanger Manor Soane's Kitchen now has a new head chef, a recent graduate from the University of West London (UWL).
After completing his qualification in catering and hospitality at UWL and securing work placements at prestigious restaurants around West London, Andre Rhone had the combined education and experience to embark on a new challenge.
He joins the team at Soane's Kitchen, based in Walpole Park and the walled kitchen garden of Ealing's Pitzhanger Manor.
Andre runs the kitchen and creates the menu based on the diversity and cultural influences of the British food industry.
As a child, Andre Rhone would compete in cooking competitions and watch cooking channels before school, giving little doubt he would pursue his dream of becoming a chef.
"I feel that on the job you will learn the menu but not the fundamentals, whereas my education gave me an overview of all the foundations I needed to build my own style", Andre Rhone told UWL.
"I had a great lecturer who was also able to give me a good entry into the profession.
"With this kind of job, it can be hard to balance life and work as the hours are long and you often have to miss holidays or events, so it definitely requires a lot of hard-work and dedication.
"My advice is, keep calm and work hard. I think it is important to have a goal in mind and a strong work ethic.
"If you are able to stay calm under pressure and lead by example, then other people will want to work hard with you."
