Train lines in the Hounslow area will be closed all day on Sunday and Monday as South Western Railways will be doing engineering works for the third straight weekend.

For a third consecutive weekend, there will be an altered schedule for trains going through Hounslow, Isleworth, Syon House, and Brentford as there will be engineering works.

A statement on the SWR website said: "We and our partners at Network Rail are always working hard to maintain and improve the rail network.

"We try to keep disruption to a minimum by carrying out engineering works at the weekend or over holiday periods where we can, but this isn't always possible.

"If we need to close train lines for engineering works, we'll provide buses to replace the affected trains.

"We will need to alter train services over a wider area, for example to connect with buses, so you should always check whether your journey will be affected."

On Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May there will be no trains through Hounslow and a rail replacement bus service will replace it.

On Sunday, London Waterloo to Woking via Staines will be altered so that it is diverted via Barnes and Feltham and will call additionally at Richmond and Twickenham.

Buses will run instead between Barnes and Feltham via Hounslow and will also run between Barnes and Twickenham via Hounslow during the afternoon and evening.

Additionally, during the afternoon and evening the London Waterloo to Kingston service will not run at all.

On Monday, London Waterloo to Weybridge via Staines will be diverted via Barnes and Feltham and call additionally at Richmond and Twickenham, buses will run between Barnes and Feltham via Hounslow.
