The Griffin is to reopen its doors from tomorrow (Wednesday) after finalising its plans after the area was moved into tier two.

The new opening hours of the Brook Road pub will be:

Monday - CLOSED

Tuesday - Saturday 12-11pm (last orders 10pm)

Sunday - 12-8pm

Masks are required when not seated, so if you're popping out for a cigarette or to the loo you will need to put a mask on.

Only one household per table inside the pub and multiple households are allowed to mix outside but the rule of six applies.

Track and Trace is still required. QR codes are placed throughout the pub but if you're old school, there will be a signing in sheet provided.

Last orders will be called at 10pm so although you can drink until 11pm you will be unable to purchase any drinks past 10pm.

Drinkers must order a "substantial meal" before they are served alcoholic drinks

Landlady Claire Peleschka said: "This rule also applies to people sitting outside. There has been some confusion over this, but the current guidance is that there is no difference between sitting inside or outside other than the people you can sit with. You still need to order a meal if wanting alcohol.

"We have had zero guidance on the meal issue from central or local government but the council have been sending out their enforcers so we have to and will be enforcing what we know.

"Gerhard has put together the attached menu so hopefully the need to order a meal will not overly impact your experience as he has tried to cater for all tastes, occasion and budgets."

The pub will be screening the Brentford v Derby game on Wednesday so if you are planning on a visit, if you would like to sit in the bar you are asked to book in advance as they are filling up quite quickly already.
