Take a Boxing Day stroll in our brilliant town and its surrounds

It's Boxing Day – time to get out and about and enjoy our brilliant town and its fantastic surrounds.

Here are a few walks we love. Remember to observe Tier 4 rules and stay safe.

Try walking down to Kew Bridge, walk towards Richmond but take the steps that lead down to the river. You can walk as far as you want, observe the town from the river, including Old Isleworth.

Another great walk is through Syon Park to Old Isleworth. If you follow the river from the town centre, you can cross the bridge and get back onto the river on the Kew side and walk back towards Kew Bridge. It's a long walk!

The canal from Brentford Lock is also a wonderful walk and again you can go as far as you want or just take a short stroll.

The Butts is worth wondering around in, full of trees and you can get onto the canal by walking to the Weir.

For a shorter walk, try Watermans Park. There is seating and again you'll be able to take in the river.
