Hounslow Council will mark Remembrance Sunday on 12 November with parades, services, and the laying of wreaths, arranged by Royal British Legion branches and other community groups.

1.Brentford:

The service for Remembrance Sunday will be held at Brentford Library, and the service will start at 10.50am. 

Deputy Leader, Councillor Katherine Dunne, will be attending and laying a wreath.

2.Chiswick:

The parade will leave the Chiswick Memorial Club at 10:40am and head to the Chiswick Town centre cenotaph.

Leader of the Opposition, Cllr Peter Thompson, and Ms Rosi Prescott, Deputy Lieutenant, will be attending and laying wreaths.

3.Cranford:

The Service of Remembrance will be at Cranford War Memorial (on the High St, by junction of The Avenue) at 10:45am.

Cllr Shivraj Grewal will be attending and laying a wreath.

4.Feltham:

The parade will leave Victoria Road at around 2:40pm, arriving at the War Memorial on Feltham Green at 2:45pm.

The Mayor, Cllr Afzaal Kiani, Hounslow Council Leader, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, and the Deputy Lieutenant, Ms Rosi Prescott, will be attending and laying wreaths.

5.Hanworth: 

The party will leave The Social Club in Hanworth at 10:30 am and parade to the Hanworth War Memorial (Junction of Main Street/Green Lane). 

Cllr Farah Kamran will be attending and laying a wreath.

6.Heston:

The Parade will leave the Territorial Army Centre at 10.20 am, arriving at St Leonard's Church at 10:40 am. 

Cllr Shantanu Rajawat will be attending and laying a wreath.

The parade will turn right out of Hounslow train station at 10am into Whitton Road, and onto Hounslow High Street up to Trinity Church.

The Mayor, Cllr Afzaal Kiani and Deputy Lieutenant, Mr Randeep Lall, will be attending and will both be laying a wreath. 

8.Isleworth: 

The parade will leave Isleworth Green and Isleworth British Legion at 10.30 am and walk to the War Memorial.

Cllr John Stroud-Turp will be attending and will be laying a wreath.

Speaking ahead of Remembrance Sunday, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, said: "This is always a special day, and an opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

"I'd like to pay tribute to our collective branches of The British Legion and all other community groups who play such a vital role in remembering the Armed Forces, their families, and the emergency services and, of course, those who have lost their lives through conflict or terrorism."

Councillor Ajmer Grewal, Cabinet Member for Safety and Regulatory Services, together with the leader of the Council, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, formally launched the opening of Hounslow's Armed Forces veterans' breakfast cafe at Isleworth Fire Station on 28 October.

Cllr Grewal said: "Since we signed the Armed Forces Covenant refresh earlier this year, I have been privileged to get to know so much more about this group of proud, brave individuals.

"It is our priority to ensure that our veterans have all the support and information that they need. Indeed, we hope that the cafe will establish and support a network in which other veterans can share their experiences and access support and services in a timely manner. This is our first Veterans café, and it won't be our last in Hounslow."
