A pub popular with Bees fans on match days before the club left Griffin Park has been put up for sale.

The Princess Royal, which has been boarded up for several months, has been put on the market through Fleurets, who have described the pub as being a "redevelopment opportunity".

It is being offered freehold for £1,250,000

Planning permission for redevelopment is unlikely to pose any major hurdles for whoever buys it as it is not listed or in a conservation area.

The property is described as having "an extensive open plan trade area with high ceilings throughout and double aspect windows with character frosting".

The marketing copy goes on to say it features "mixed exposed brick and carpeted flooring with steps up to further trade area to the front.

"Large central bar servery with timber counters and panelled sides. Dual entrances from the front and Braemar Road. "

It also features six bedrooms, some with shower facilities, kitchen, bathroom.

There is a detached building to one side which is currently housing Brentford FC's retail shop.

The Princess Royal was a big favourite with Brentford fans and was also popular a popular watering-hole for locals who enjoyed its sports bar to watch major football games on its Sky Sports big screen.
