A planning application has been put forward to install a new disabled access ramp to a Pakistani and Afghan restaurant in Hounslow, west London.
The restaurant, Lala Peshawari, plan to re-develop the store by installing a disabled access ramp, an additional entrance and a takeaway snack bar.
Currently, less abled customers would enter the eatery by asking a staff member for a removable ramp which caused friction for some visiting Lala Peshawari.
The owner also hopes to accommodate a new snack bar where customers can get a quick meal of smaller portions with hot and cold drinks on offer.
Lala Peshawari and contractors, AK Contracts, say: "The new entrance will be created will have a ramped entrance door providing access from the pavement to inside of the premises.
"This can also be used for customers wishing to access into the main restaurant.
"It is hoped this addition to the existing menu offer will increase the profitability of the business.
"The new shopfront provide the ideal opportunity to provide disabled access into both units. The newly formed area will be fitted out in a modern style with a hint traditional heritage."
The plans also show that the store front will feature a new sign along the existing 'Lala Peshawari', with a new 'More than subs' next to it.
Lala Peshwari says "the restaurant has built up an excellent reputation for good quality food reasonably priced."
