NHS services will be limited on 15th and 16th December due to the biggest NHS strike in history over pay disputes.

On 15th and 16th December members of the Royal College of Nursing are striking after they were unable to secure their desired 19% pay increase.

Under trade union laws, life-preserving care will continue to be provided during the strike, but routine care will be impacted and appointments likely cancelled.

The NHS has reminded patients that they should attend appointments as normal unless they have been told otherwise.

They also say that those in need of medical help should continue to call 111, or 999 in case of emergency.

The Royal College of Nursing are seeking a pay increase of 5% above the Consumer Price Index (inflation calculation).
