More flats could be built in Brentford as a new planning application has been submitted for a site in Windmill Road.

Hounslow Council has received an application to build 74 new flats.

Churchill House, near St Faith's Church, would be developed into two blocks of flats.

The site is located west of Windmill Road, and north of the M4 and A4 where Windmill Road passes underneath the M4 and intersects the A4.

One block would be seven storeys high with a roof terrace on top. The other block would be up to six storeys.

A phased development is proposed with Block A, the six storey unit containing 33 one flats in the first phase and Block B, containing the remaining 41 flats to be built in phase 2.

The applications is for 21 one-bedroom homes, 40 two-bedroom and 13 three-bedroom.

The application has been made by Merchant Land Ltd which originally proposed 90 flats.

Its revised proposal splits the design into two blocks to create a main entrance on Windmill Road to a central courtyard with car parking.
