If you are looking for a career in the construction industry, the Mayor's Construction Academy is offering training.

London has a growing construction skills shortage, and construction sector employers require a site-ready workforce to help build the homes Londoners need.

The Mayor's Construction Academy (MCA) aims to connect Londoners to training in the skills they need to access vacancies in the capital's developments, in trades, professions and management.

The MCA is doing this through:

  1. A Quality Mark, which identifies and recognises high-quality construction skills training provision in the capital. This is quality in terms of the curriculum, routes into employment and strong links with employers.
  2. Hubs to help Londoners, employers, training providers and the organisations supporting them both to connect more often, more quickly, and with better outcomes.
  3. Investment for equipment and facilities to support the delivery of high-quality construction training in London. We will be investing in building information modelling, design for manufacture and assembly and virtual learning to help learners get practical skills in the trades earlier and faster.
