The new Ballymore development on the high street is beginning to take shape at least from ground level.

Foundations are being laid after extensive excavation work.

Last week saw the arrival of a massive crane which now dominates the Brentford skyline.

The development will comprise a mixture of flats and commercial buildings for shops and restaurants.

Many of the cafes will be situated on the banks of The Grand Union Canal.
