There is only four days left to see Vinod Marar's solo exhibition of over 20 paintings titled 'World Through My Eyes' at the Waterman's Arts Centre.

Having exhibited artwork regularly at Art & Soul's large group exhibitions, 'World Through My Eyes' will serve as Marar's first solo exhibition and profits from sales will be donated to charities who have supported Marar in his artistic journey - Art & Soul, Brentford Stroke Group, Different Strokes, and Watermans.

The exhibition is supported by Art & Soul, a South-West London based charity who celebrate the benefit of art for emotional and mental wellbeing.

Art & Soul provide creative workshops, exhibitions and events that actively help to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people of all ages in the South-West London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith, Hounslow, Kingston Upon Thames, Richmond Upon Thames and Wandsworth.

The exhibition opened on 7 March and continues until 31 March - this weekend.

During his youth, Marar survived a stroke which left the right side of his body paralysed.

While recovering and settling into his new way of life - he started to paint.

Having always been right-handed, after the stroke took away the use of his right hand, he started using his left hand to paint.

Honing his skills over more than a decade, Marar has developed an insatiable desire to put his imagination onto the canvas, specialising in portraits and abstracts.

Admission is free, and the works will be available to view from Wednesday to Sunday, 12.30-10pm.

Exhibition address: Riverside Gallery, Watermans Arts Centre, 40 High St, Brentford, TW8 0DS
