Sam's Waterside in Brentford has been recognised as Winner in Interior Design Restaurant in the Brasserie category by LIV Hospitality Design Awards.

The design critics recognise 'excellence in hospitality architecture, interior design, and guest experiences' across the world.

LIV Hospitality Design Awards say Sam's Waterside captures elements from the 'rich history' of Brentford in its restaurant layout.

It says: "The interior embodies an evolution of the original much-loved concept.

"Inspired by the locality, a dichotomy of rich history and urban regeneration, the design is influenced by the juxtaposition of old meets new, celebrating the backdrop of the historical industrial architecture, with the imprint of the contemporary Brentford development that is set to regenerate the area.

"A seated island bar creates an energetic focal point upon entering, with the open kitchen pass offering an exciting glimpse of the culinary action."

LIV Hospitality Design Awards adds: "Curated seating arrangements provide different dining options, with bi-folding doors wrapping around two sides, connecting the guests with the lush planting on the terrace and the natural waterside of the River Brent."

Exclusive to newsletter subscribers of the restaurant, to celebrate it is giving diners a free cocktail to those who received an email of the announcement yesterday.

Sam's Waterside says: "To celebrate this wonderful achievement, we are thrilled to offer all guests a FREE cocktail, when they dine with us at Sam's Waterside.

"Whether you are already a regular at the restaurant, or you're visiting us for the very first time, we look forward to raising a glass together! Simply show this email on arrival, until 30 April."

The award comes as Sam Harrison begins the soft opening of his new Sam's Kitchen in Chiswick this week.
