Hounslow man arrested for posting racist abuse on Facebook following Euro 2020 final

A HOUNSLOW man has been arrested for posting racist abuse on Facebook following the Euro 2020 final.

Following the final between England and Italy on Sunday, July 11, England stars Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka received online racist abuse.

Police have been trying to identify the perpetrators and have been arresting those they believe to be responsible.

One of those is a Hounslow man who the Met confirmed was arrested on Saturday, July 17.

The unnamed man in his 50s, has subsequently been released under investigation, as enquiries continue.
