HOUNSLOW has seen a small increase in the number of new coronavirus cases.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 1% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of May 24 to 30, Hounslow saw 149 new positive cases, compared to 147 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 1.4%, with two more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 55.0, compared to 54.3 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England.

London as a whole had 2,854 new cases during the week of May 24 to 30, which represents 31.8 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 18,896 new cases during the same week, correlating to 33.6 cases per 100,000 people.
