A local Asian supermarket could soon be allowed to sell alcohol, if it is granted a licence by the council.
Thai House Oriental Grocery Store has applied for an alcohol licence from Hounslow Council, as it looks to diversify its range.
The Essex Place business already sells a range of Asian products and food from regional sauces to drinks, but says it now wants to sell alcohol.
An application submitted to the council says a CCTV system has been installed "and it's working to the satisfaction of police and licensing authority".
Thai House also says it will introduce an age challenge policy.
If the licence is approved, the shop will be allowed to sell alcohol throughout its normal opening hours - 10am to 8pm on Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
Locals have until 3 November 2023 to have their say on the application.
Link to the application can be found here.
