High water levels on the Thames have been affecting the Brentford area.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the Tidal Thames riverside from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir on Wednesday (December 16).

Areas of Brentford have seen high waters, including around Ferry Quays and Strand on the Green.

Catherine Wheel Road in the town centre also suffered from flooding on Tuesday.

The agency said: "River levels are expected to be high as a result of spring tides.

"Flooding of low-lying roads and footpaths is expected, which may exist for one to two hours either side of high tide. Flooding of properties is not expected."

Chiswick Mall and Strand on the Green face the possibility of flooding, the agency said.
