A tree that has been deemed dangerous will only be felled when a family of birds has moved on.

The tree, on the waterside at Brentford Dock, is leaning precariously towards the river and looks like it could topple over.

The immediate area around the tree has been taped off with a notice from Brentford Dock management saying: "The area has been cordoned off as the tree has been deemed unsafe.

"It is due for felling following an arboricultural survey. This is part of our wider tree management plan for the entire estate and it has been agreed with all relevant bodies.

"Due to nesting birds, the work has been delayed until the birds have flown the tree."
