Creative People & Places Hounslow are giving community groups the chance to show off their valuable work at an event in April.

The event called 'Shout Out' will be hosted on Sunday 16th April at the London Museum of Water and Steam and it will give local groups the platform to spread the word about the work that they do to an interested audience.

At the event community groups who have signed up will have a five-minute slot to talk about the work they do, recruit members, discuss new projects, or anything else they would like to get across to an audience of local people.

The event is also open to anyone to come along and learn about these groups and potentially get involved with some of the work going on in the local community and at the end there will be the opportunity for all those in attendance and those who spoke to mingle.

Sally Malit, member of the Brentford Local Advisory Group and Co-Director of Speak Out in Hounslow, said: "Come and join us if you are part of a local community group and let us know about the great things you do, and if you live locally and want to find out what is happening in the Brentford community please come along too."

The event will be hosted by Nick Benjamin one of the presenters on 2 Voices Radio.

To get involved in the event then visit the website.
