Councillors to vote on Demolition Notices for some tenants of Albany House and Charlton House

Councillors are expected to approve the go-ahead of the next stages for the complete regeneration of Albany and Charlton House in Brentford which will include serving Demotion Notices on some tenants.

Residents voted overwhelmingly for the regeneration in a poll carried out by Hounslow Council.

The scheme aims to create a zero-carbon environment and homes that are more economic to heat as well as massive improvements to the estate.

Councillors will vote on Tuesday night on pushing through the next stages of the redevelopment such as detailed surveys, designers and a £1.8m budget for the programme to begin.

The reports also wants councillors to give the go-ahead for Demolition Notices.

It says: "The report also seeks approval for Demolition Notices on the tenants affected by the proposal and for a budget of £1.8m to progress."

The council has vowed to compensate those affected by offering suitable accommodation in the area or elsewhere in the borough.
