A homeless man who lived for decades under Chiswick flyover died of "natural causes", a coroner has ruled.

John Dwyer, who was in his 70s, was found at the site last week after police and ambulance services were called amid fears for his welfare.

West London Coroner's Court told Nub News that because a "natural cause of death" had been concluded there would be no inquest into Mr Dwyer's death.

It emerged this week that Mr Dwyer looked after a colony of feral cats and was well known in the Brentford area.

An appeal to raise £1,000 for a plaque near the site reached its target within days.
